Time for a little update I guess… :blah:
I took some time and paid off some bills so work on the convertible was put on hold until now.  :bananasmi
So let’s see I have ordered my wheels they should arrive this week sometime,   :hyper:
my new Elastomeric (Rubber) Bumpers came in last Friday(they need painted),

I swapped out my TR6060 for the more user friendly t-56 magnum ( it’s a hot-rodder’s tr6060) that has a Speedo and a vss output as well as a slip yoke tail housing unlike the not so user friendly one I was going to use.  :bricks1:

It has the .50 overdrive gear ratio and the 2.97 first so I am swapping over to 4-10 gears in the new moser mo875 it’s a cool looking setup.

Mounted the hydraulic clutch setup and the remote reservoir this weekend

and cut the tunnel out for the trans that was nerve racking I will weld a new one in next weekend, and the new trans mount. :eek4:

I need to order a drive shaft Tuesday and a flywheel and clutch setup.  :faint:
With a little luck I should be up and running by July. :woo:
Scott

Nice tranny, and parts. I'm most likely doing the T-56 magnum also. Great choice to swap to the magnum instead of the 6060 right away. A bunch less headaches in the long run.

Did you go Keisler or Classic for the tranny? Since it's obviously not a bolt in (big tunnel, custom crossmember, etc.), what are you doing for those parts? Bill Reilly from Alterkation as you might know was talking about producing his crossmember for the public. He's built several for his cars. You might ask him.

Another question-when you are putting in a custom set up like this, what is the procedure to level everything? Do you level the car front to back and then the engine/transmission level front to back or vertical on the harmonic balancer before you determine where the crossmember should hold the transmission (level, angled up/down). I'd think it's somewhat critical? Not sure....

Great project. Please update the install. Which 4-link coil set up is going in?

Thanks, Wes
