Are you running an auto, or manual? If manual, care to share the setup? Curious to what bolts up to the newer Hemi's

Mike,
One good thing about the new hemis is that they all use the small block bolt pattern.
That means everything out there already fits!

That is true, but also the flywheel/clutch setup. I'd love to go 4 or 5 speed in my car once i start getting a decent paycheck next year, and i'd love to do a 3rd gen Hemi swap...but the trans will likely come first, so i'll have to shop/choose wisely

Kiseler still seems to be hit/miss on some things for 5speed swaps and can be in the 4-5,000 range for an auto swap kit  :faint:

On the contrary - that's the poor mans way of how they did it at the factory - bring the engine in from underneath already mounted to the K-frame.  Less chance of scratching the paint that way.  If he had access to a two-post lift and could have raised the whole car, I'm sure he would have done it.  I've considered doing it this way myself, but I don't really want to take the entire front suspension off again and unbolt the K-frame.

A little update over the last month (July) I have used most of my time for family vacation and a work trip.  :bananasmi

Therefore, I have spent little time updating any progress, as it has been very little info to add…  :chatting:

Nevertheless, I have missed you all, I was able to keep up a little with my phone, you all are like family and c-c.com is a little addictive.  :ylsuper:

I have reworked the main fuel line last weekend; I did not like my first routing location. I finished the power steering lines also & lots of little things I needed to clean up or add a small something that I had to order in order to finish off something I started long ago…  :banghead:

Therefore, I should be ready to crank the motor next in a week or two.  :woo:

I need to check for leaks, finish the exhaust, and get a battery first. (That may take longer than I think)  :22yikes:

Oh yah I need antifreeze, Trans fluid, Gas, Oh boy what else have I forgotten it may be 3 weeks yet.  :banghead:

I also want to go over and re-torque all the front-end bolts on the Alterktion just too make sure I didn’t miss one.
I need a drive shaft and I need to order tubing & lines to run to the rear brakes…  :pullinghair:
This list is getting longer….  :faint:

Goody
I am running a 727 to get the car on the road and work out the bugs (reads save a little money)
I do plan to add a 5 speed over the winter if funds are available they are a little pricy but worth it.

Thanks everybody for the support it won’t be long ……………………………………..I HOPE.  :hyper:

Awesome idea. I never thought about lifting the front like that to get the engine and k-member in. Hope you don't mind me copying ya. Better get a patent on that one. :2thumbs:
