I am going to call quicktime on Tuesday I have ordered the factory bell housing from Dodge but if the quicktime will work, I can keep the starter on the driver’s side instead of moving it to the factory correct passenger side for the new trans. :o

My dealer sold it to me for $2800.00 they said list is like $3800 or something like that.  :drunk:

I did not know they were changing the name of the trans it might be a better swap for shifter selection and drive shaft attachment but I am impatient and didn’t want to wait any longer to get started on setting it up.

Good luck with yours Wes keep me posted.

Thanks for the price and info. Not bad really from the dealer and all. Probably saved shipping also.

The way I understand it from a few is the TR6060 is the same as the T-56 Magnum, just that the magnum will be the non OEM version sort of like the TKO 600 is basically non OEM and it will have a standard T-56 front mount on it for the bell. I might be wrong on this but that's what I was told by Quicktime a while back. Last I looked Quicktime was supporting the GM LS-1/variations of the T-56 and the Viper version for 3G Hemis.

I'm not sure if you have these pictures I've attached. They are from a T-56/6060 installed in Delaney's recent Challenger with the V10. I believe Bill Reilly from Alterkation fame did some of the work. It shows the modified crossmember and the increased tunnel. Also, look at this thread for more details on the parts needed. It's on page 5 here. Bill has a list of parts for the swap, but this it isn't specific for the 3G Hemi. I guess we should be able to buy the pilot and everything straight from Mopar now.

This thread has some info on his speedo connection/issues to the 6060.

Definitely give Ross at Quicktime a call.  Last time I checked, the late model hemi specific bell housing will have the starter location on the passenger side, so you may need to use their small block bell housing (extra bolt hole on top).  We're using a small block bell since the late model HEMI bells weren't available.

We're waiting on a new bell housing design from Quicktime for the late model HEMI which will adapt a GM automatic (4L60e/4L65e) for another project in the shop.  Manumatic computer controlled with engine braking and Twist Machine Paddle shifter should do the trick.  My customer didn't want to go the Kiesler route...

Nice work on the TR6060 btw!   :smokin:

Thanks

I called tremec and talked to Jeff the tech guy some good some bad  :pullinghair:

The good  :woo: the t-56 viper is the same bolt pattern as the tr-6060 so I dont have to use the challenger bell, the viper shifter will work (so I dont have to use the remote shifter from the challenger)

The bad  :banghead: no speed  vss (no speedometer drive) some solutions are gps and aftermarket drive shaft sensor. The input shaft is ½ inch longer than the viper t-56 I may have to trim it if I use the quicktime bell instead of the factory bell unless the extra length fits into the crank. Lastly, I will have to come up with a bolt on slip yoke.

Thanks for the updates. Yeah, I didn't know about the speedo on the 6060 until I read about that over at BBD. I wonder if the T-56 Magnum (6060 aftermarket version) that Tremec will be releasing has a normal speedo and output shaft? I'm going to have to research that part of it.

Appreciate the info.

Wes
