Trying to get this 70
« on: January 20, 2008 - 09:04:30 PM »
Here's some pics of a friends Cuda that I'm slowly trying to convince him to sell to me. He never sells anything, but I'm trying to convince him that it would be better to sell it to me and give it a good home instead of sitting there rotting. I'm trying to bring him back to earth too. He says he would probably want too much for it and is thinking $10k. It's a base barracuda, not Cuda, originally with a 318. It has a 440 now and is driveable, but is starting to get some rust. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Oh yeah, the last pic is his Charger that was his very first car. It was inside being restored several years ago, but then he stuck it outside because he needed the space for his business. He said he will never sell it, but he's not interested in getting it back on the road now either. What a shame.

Good luck on getting your buds car before it sinks into the ground anymore than it already is
Hopefully he will want to see that beauty put back to her former glory, instead of hiding behind a house crying for the attention she surely deserves.
At least he will know it is going into good hands, and he will be able to see it wherever he wanted to.....right?

Stay on him.  They both look great, but won't last forever outside.  Don't give up until you get that Cuda.  Find his weakness and go for it!   :stirpot:

I agree it is a shame..I don't understand people like your friend they love cars but they prefer to let them rust before selling  :screwy:

Lol, that cracked me. What do you guys (and gals) think would be a fair price for the Cuda to put cash in his face? It is solid underneath. $6,500? $7,000? Too much? Too little?

Given that it is a running, driveable car, I think anything under $10,000 is a good deal.

Be sure to check out the frame rails, trunk, cowl area, and floor boards for rust thru before you make an offer.

Either car has a lot of potential.  I hope you can get them away from him since he won't care for them.  Good Luck with it.

You should try the old Glass jar with I.O.U. for a 318 'Cuda.  And place the jar in his view, So everytime he sees it he will think of you. :22yikes:
