Mike,it does not take much sulfer to make it unfit for human consumption, definitely not enough to make much difference in performance.

QUESTION Is there any performance increase in using medical grade nitrous oxide?
ANSWER None! NOS recommends and sells only the automotive grade, called Ny-trous Plus. Ny-trous Plus contains a minimal amount of sulfur dioxide (100 ppm) as a deterrent to substance abuse. The additive does not affect performance.

Question??
They say nos is cheap hp and the kits are I think compared to a blower abuot…  $500.00?
What about over time? How much is a bottle of that stuff?  $50.00?
How many times will you fill it ,in say over 5 years?  Once a week= $2300 a year \5 years =$13000.00  :screwy:
Build a blower always have power over 5 years.about $5000 t0 $10000 maybe?
What do you have to re-sale... bling bling… cool factor? :stirpot:
will that $500.00 nos run with that blower? :bigshades:

Just wondering if anyone has done the math. :2cents:

Please dont get mad...

That is what I am looking at with the one I am building.  I'll maybe use it 50 times a year. Lets say 4 bottles worth; $200.  The rest of the time I can get around relatively cheaply with the 318. I got my system from a car I bought.  I did a few small things to the car; kept the NOS and sold the car for more than I had into it.  Much cheaper than a blower.

Also, the smaller the jets (the lower the added H.P.) the longer your bottle lasts.  :clapping:

This is the kit that I helped a buddy put on his '69 Dodge PU step side. It had a mild 440, a 727 that I built for him,3.91 gears in an 8 3/4 and my slicks that he borrowed, he went from 13.70's to 13.10's with the juice. One bottle lasted the whole day for him.

If you guys would put your babies on the bottle you would be surprised at how strong it would make them. Don would really notice the change.

For a strip car, I'd probably run turbos and NOS if I could. For a street car, I'd run a supercharger ideally.

Do it. They are all fun. You just have to find your cup of tea. Maybe yours is filled with Nitrous.
