    Where can I get a fake fender tag - cheap?

    Before everyone gets excited, I have my orginal fender tag but since I am doing the restomod thing I will not put it back on the car but wanted to put something like.

    6/22/72  Ma Mopar
    4/29/83 Don and Mark Stephens
    6/01/08 Mark and Alex Stephens
    Future   Alex and

    Anyway, something like this but I don't want to pay datatags big bucks. I don't really care if it looks just like the factory so the font can be different.... Any ideas?

    Good topic, I will also be doing a custom tag: 540 - 5SPD - TRPBLK - MADELINE etc
    I would like it to look like a stock tag as much as possible so will keep an eye on this topic.

    No I have not requested a quote but I will tomorrow. I only know that they can charge a few hundred $ for a real reproduction but maybe something like this will be less  :dunno: Thanks for asking the question - I should not assume it will be expensive. I will send them an e-mail and ask for a quote. I'll keep you posted on the reply.

    AG Backeast did 2 tags for me for $40 each...that was about 3 years ago.

    Very cool ,I was going to make one with all my new options and list me as the builder and the date compleeted...(or at least back on the road)

    Here is a tag i had made up by AG Backeast. If you go to GG, he's the one that makes the tags for him. I cut out the middle man and went direct to the source. Paid $40 for it a little while ago. At first glance it looks like a standard tag, but if you decode it, you'll find some "funny" codes, and the CLONE is pretty obvious.
