My Apologies...
« on: January 22, 2008 - 09:25:57 AM »
It's tuesday, 1/22/08...  I'm at work (I'm a service advisor at a dealership, for those of you who don't know) and I'm.. ...bored.

Two of my three appointments for the day have already shown up.  My third isn't due in until noon, which gives me 2 1/2 hours of quality "thumb in butt" time...

I'm at 672 posts as of this writing, I'm wondering if I can hit 700 today...  :)  ...this means probably 4 or 5 quality posts, and 23-24 not-quite-so-quality posts...  I will do my best to keep them in this forum.  ;)

Just wanted to warn ya!  I'm on the prowl today!!

Well, to be honest, I don't think of it like that - I don't consider myself at "war" with anyone.  It was like that on my Stratus board.

Honestly I guess I could say that it seems the "residents" have more... ...clout?  ...respect?  ...maybe, than non-resident members.  I think some members - possibly myself included - feel that getting to that status is a goal.  I don't however feel the need to "beat" anyone to that goal.

To me this board is kinda like school - I learn a lot here and there's a ton of information to absorb.  But there's also that need for recess to cut up and have fun.  :)

To be honest, like the others, post count doesn't really matter too me.  This board is cool because I really feel everyone is accepted for who they are which is pretty cool.

Your VERY fortunate that you've been to Carlisle and got to hang out with some of the members here.  They have first hand knowledge of who you are, what you're like, and from your interaction here, I know that you're a well liked guy here.

Like a kid counting the days to Christmas, don't even bother looking at the post count and it'll come soon enough.

Aw gee man thanks.  :)

Yeah I try not to earn too much  :villagers: around here!  I feel that as I continue to learn and evolve, I can turn around and share that knowledge with other members.  It's actually kind of funny to me when I see a question asked that I had already asked and can actually answer now with a full understanding of what I'm talking about!

That was a feather in my cap at WyoTech.  The instructors actually came to me - a guy with literally MONTHS experience (at the time) and asked me to become a peer tutor to help teach the other students who were struggling.

At one point the president of the school walked past and saw me with a room filled with over 20 other students after hours - he was absolutely shocked.

I think it's one of the big reasons why I earned the Nissan Outstanding Achievement Award from all of the instructors.

I actually miss that place.

I know how it is setting goals for yourself.  I wanted to get to senior status before I left and have done that now.  Just wanted caught up on count because I may not have that much time to do it when I am overseas.  May have some time but not the time I have had.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development
