Jeff,

In going aftermarket, keep in mind what backspacing the wheel has.   :grinyes: Not all fit an E-Body.

I think I'm going with the second design - I don't think they're too truckish.  A little, but a white car needs somethin' a little more tough lookin' - ya know?

And these are aluminum, so they WILL be lighter.  They're 15", 5-4.5, 19GBS, which is a 5.25" backspacing - should be fine.

I think I'm going to buy one a month - that'll be affordable.  It'll look SO much nicer...

Any chance you can get a picture of the car style wheelfor us to look at Jeff.  The one pictured is a truck rim and the lug nuts throws people off. :2thumbs:

Just looking at the picture of the wheels they are not my taste.... however when his car is done they might be the right theme for his car  :2cents:

On the MB website they are in the truck/suv section, that means they are heavy duty, that means the are heavy. They have to be heavy in weight because of their intended application, but hey, go for it.

Make sure a 15"x8 rim with 5.25 BS will clear on the front.  It might but it seems like it would be tight.  Maybe just me. :dunno:

Look truck.

How about these for 99 each?

The maximum back space you can use with a 15" rim on the front is 4.75. At 5" the wheel lip is into the ball joint. For 17" wheels you have a little bit more room (1") than you do with 15s.

Alright I can't find these - can you give me a link to them?  I like 'em...

Jeff

**EDIT**  Nevermind, found 'em - Summit 185 Series, but not nearly enough backspacing - only 3.25 inches.  I gotta measure what's on the 'cuda now, but I don't think that's nearly enough.  They'll hit the quarters in the rear.

I'd stick with the prostars or similar. Those last ones look a bit rock crawly to me, its your ride though. if you like 'em, run 'em! I slid by with the 'truck wheels' on my car due to they kinda kept a low key w/o the chrome and my black stripe ties in there.
