CFM as in cubic feet per minute?  As in carb CFM's?  The 1973 340 came with a Carter ThermoQuad rated at 850 CFM.  That's all I can tell you.

That's interesting.  And I thought I might have over-carbed my 360 with a Street Avenger 770.  Apparently not.

I had a '73 Dart Sport that I bought new.  It came with a 750 cfm tq.  That was a factory freak and it ran very well.  I ran 14.30's with a/c and all the goodies.    :burnout:

:iagree: Here's a guide from Mymopar with the respective part numbers.  Depending on the bore size of the 73's, it looks like 750-850 CFM.

This exactly what I have been saying all along 750 on a 340 /360 is about right & on a 440 you need 850

The 1250 on my Challenger works great. It didn't when I had mechanical linkage to open the outboards. Large bog. Left to run on vac they are fantastic.

It just has 452 heads, a 1970 383 intake, and a mild cam. What carb should I look for, even though I won't have money for awhile. Would a DP move my Charger from a stop easily.

I LOVE DP's. I have to be careful not to squeel tires at stop lights. I'm guessing a 750 would work for you. They are easy to tune.

Most of the T-Q's are 1 3/8" primary 750 cfm , some of the '74 and laters with 1 1/2" primary and were 850 cfm. If I remember right the early '71's were 800 cfm's. All have 2 1/4" secondary. As far as performance, the '71's made more power on the dyno for us with the 340 & 360 engines...
All around 750 cfm carb's is your best bet with something with a little power...
