 Tried to loosen the handbrake cable but like everything else on this car,
 although it should have been a full resto, isn't that easy.
 Propably need a grindmachine to get the nut off. Will try to disconnect at
 the wheel and take a testdrive after I fixed the "newly" restored engine and
 changed the lower controlarm pivotshaft they destroyed the threads on and
 left without the nut. Hopefully then after 2 years I can start enjoy my Cuda.

I agree with Shelbydogg number 2 item. Your pic in the post just above mine
clearly shows one side of the parking brake bracket has one side pulled out
farther than the other. The cable is hanging up between that bracket and the
drum. Probably seized in the armour covering. Had same problem on a 73 Charger.

Looks like someone put a towhook into your frame hole.

Anyway, use a wire wheel on all of those exposed adjuster threads. After cleaning it up, spray some penetrating oil on it then try to loosen the nut, while holding the cable end with a vise grips. If it looks like the nut will not move, stop or you will break off the end. Get a grinder and cut off the nut.  A nut is cheaper than a new cable.

Checked mine out today while I was in the garage. It is set up the same as the photos posted here, so I have no idea what I was saying earlier. Good thing I keep service manuals around, eh?

Good observation there! For all outside US: Check with the shippingcompany how they secure the car in the container before you select one.

heat the nut red hot , it will oosen up , buffing off the threads & using penetrating oil is a must also

 Also noticed they "forgot" to put back the piece where the cable goes thru
 when they changed the floor. Maybe that also has a influence?
