Old friends from CCOA ?
« on: January 24, 2008 - 11:38:07 PM »
Hi, I'd like to get in touch with some old friends of mine. Does anyone know the whereabouts of Rick Olczak, from the CCOA - Challenger 'Cuda Owners Association??? I used to edit the newsletter 20 years ago (more or less). The last I heard, Rick moved out to BC and left his Challengers somewhere in Granby, Quebec... I was also involved in the CMOA and a member of the NEHOA.

Yes, I googled and 411 across Canada but no luck yet...  At the time the CCOA was headquartered in Lachute, Quebec. Rick had a Panther Pink T/A, a 70 Hemi (burgundy with white sides) that was a well known drag car (can't recall the original owner) and a blue w/white top& interior 73 Rally . All 3 cars were top show quality and rarely saw the light of day.  I was one of very few people to see them on the road... He also had a green Challenger that was a daily driver and a Dodge TOP HAND 4x4. A lot can happen in 20 years!  BTW, I've still got my 3rd 'Cuda (Black 74 360 4spd)... Thanks! I'd appreciate any news about Rick.

Sorry, no info but you brought back some memories. I was a member too back in the day. Myself and a friend even drove from Ontario to Quebec for a Cuda vs Challenger baseball game but I can't remember who won...maybe it was a tie.

Haha excuse me but i were so glad to find a discussion about the old CCOA. My dad were also a member and I think his the only member outside USA or Canada. We still live here in Sweden and the Barracuda 69 with 440 he got back in the days is still in same condition and with the same owner as back then.
Do anyone know if the club still exist or if its going back up again? The old sticker is still in the windshield of the cuda.

Sorry for reviving an old topic, but I came across this when looking up the CCOA. It's great to see so many people remember it.

Not sure if anyone would remember my dad, Wayne Lambert, who had a white '70 Challenger convertible. I was the 10ish year old son he brought with him to the shows.

I'm sure someone remembers who you speak of.  Try over there.  Lots more eyes on the threads.

Maybe someone else here knows something.   Old thread alright.

What State/Province/City??? I'm pretty sure I have a picture of a white '70 Challenger convertible in one of my photo albums.

We lived just outside Toronto, Ontario however traveled a fair bit. I recall going to Rick's house in Lachute and a corn roast nearby. We also went down to the proving grounds conventions in 81 and 82, then the first year at Indianapolis in 84 (I still have the dash plaques from all 3).

I was in Lachute for a Cuda vs Challenger baseball game put on by CCOA, sorry can't remember the year. Also was at the proving grounds and the '84 Indy Mopar Nationals (along with many more Nat's).

Did your dad go to a car show decades ago in Simcoe or Delhi?  If your dad is same the guy I'm thinking about he gave me a matchbox car of a 1974 Challenger that he took the roof off of and painted it white. I own a triple white 1970 Barracuda convertible.
