Okay, it's been a while, but here's the latest update.  We pulled the car out of the paint booth, and it is pretty much in full primer, ready for the final wet sanding before paint, which will hopefully come sometime next week, weather permitting.  The inside of the deck lid and hood, and front and rear valences have been painted, but I was not able to get a good picture of that stuff.  Since we had the car out of the booth, we put it on the lift yesterday and put on a set of MP bolt-on (using the term loosely) sub-frame connectors.  All I can say is, god bless you folks who can put these on in your garage.  These things were a Bear to put on.  It didn't help that I had a crappy aftermarket rear sway bar that mounted in the same spot as the rear of the frame connectors, so that got ditched.  Anyways, here's some more pics.

Well, the end is in sight.  Here's some pics during the final wet sand of the body, and paint should be going on in the next couple days.  This thing is laser straight and smooth as my baby's bottom already.  Good times!!  :2thumbs:

Well, the day has finally arrived!!  :bananasmi Here's some pics just after the jambs and trunk were shot.  The fenders were also shot with a light coat off the car, and then were hung on the car so everything will be painted together.  As I sit here posting, the entire car has been shot in color and 3 coats of clear.  Some of the smaller bits and pieces will be finished up tomorrow, and the buffing will soon commence.  I will be back out to the shop Saturday where I will be able to get some pics of the finished product.  Final assembly will begin next week, with it hopefully 90% done by the end of the week.

:woohoo: The paint is down!  This thing is going to be stunning.  Here's some pictures just after wet sanding at 1000 grit.  Tomorrow should be the final round at 1,500 grit, followed closely by the final buffing.  The picture didn't come out too well, but the rear deck panel is pretty much finished throughout, just to see how the final product would look.

I will, but am currently undecided.  I will be doing the hood blackout down the middle (painted, not a decal), and am leaning towards the thin RT stripe that runs the length of the car, but am somewhat torn with the fat RT stripe.  I welcome all thoughts.

Lighter colored cars , i like the fat stripe. Dark cars look great with the thin one. My opinion only.

The paint has been wet sanded down to 2000 and final buffing today.  These pictures do not even do this paint job justice.  It will look unbelievable in the light.  We should have it close to 100% back together and on the road by Friday.
