I'm not a member on moparts, but I heard once that they have an engine lost/found section there?
Something like that may be a valuable addition to this site, and could help a lot of us, because I'm sure that many of the members have extra engines/trannies laying around, or in use. And I'm sure that many of the members have non-matching engines and trannys, and would love to find "Their" original parts. Perhaps we should start a "reutnite" section, where people can post the numbers of any engines, trannies, build sheets, fender tags, etc, that they have that are extra, or that don't match their car. Who knows, maybe another member on this board may have your matching engine or tranny, and would be willing to sell, or trade for it.
That is a great idea
Although I made a suggestion about posting vins that are on ebay here, and I got nowhere.....fast
Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did.
Are you going to make a post in the suggestion section to see if you can get anywhere with this idea?
I'm all for it!!
In fact, I was driving around New England a few weeks ago, just looking for whatever I may find in someones backyard, (only so I could take pictures without asking
)
But I found a 66 Dodge Coronet project a guy was selling, ($5,500), and getting to talking to him, and him finding out I was a Mopar guy, we went into his garage where he showed me an original 69 440 6 pack motor HP2 that he was selling.
I'm sure someone, somewhere would love to have this baby reunited with her once warm engine bay
