Husker!!!!

Do you have any more pictures of the install around the airbox and ducting?  I saved this one:

but my cuda is missing most of those parts.  I now HAVE all the parts, but have NO idea how they go in there!

Any help would be appreciated - but PM me 'cause I don't wanna hijack your thread.  Looks great!!!

Sorry - I made that first post before I read through the whole thing - now I have...

YOU SUCK!!  I'm so freakin' jealous I'm tasting copper...

Awesome - you're such an inspiration to all of us.  It'll still be years before I get there.

And don't worry about your friend's 08 Challenger - you'll be blowing his doors off in that 'Cuda.

My only question is this - isn't 495hp a little low for a 512 stroker?  Did they port the heads at all?  I wonder if just a little work on the heads could really bring the numbers up.  Just askin' really - I'm anything but an engine pro yet.

thanks for the kind words Viper & Ken!  That's what keeps me moving forward with this build!  Seems like it takes too long but I want it right.  All it takes is lots of hard work and lots of Mopar  :money:!  My job has me traveling every other week for a month or so.  Kinda slowed down my pace but I need the cash to continue so what can you do?  Yea the HP is a little low but 600 ft lbs of tourqe should give me a thrill.  The shop that built the engine suggested putting on a set of ported Indy's on it that should get it up around 700 but I'm not sure I can handle what it has now.  Maybe an upgrade for next winter!

Yea, the Indys would make a big difference I'll bet. Why don't you pick up a pair for me while you're at it. :roflsmiley:

No problem 6 pack, why don't we just go for a pair of blown Hemi's while we are at it!   :woohoo:  My wife bought a lottery ticket so as soon as I cash in I'll get them on order. :roflsmiley:

Tried to put on the TTI exhaust today but found out I need a couple of brackets that I missed when I ordered the system.  Maybe next week! :banghead:

Husker, do you have any more pictures of the A/C Ducting installation?  See my post at the top of this page if you didn't catch it.

Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.  Thanks so much!

Just looked at all the pics so far ,man is that looking awesome!!! One of my favorite things about installing new parts is clean parts with new bolts that go right on. Must be a pleasure working on something that clean. That body is straight as an arrow. Sure to be a great ride.

After all weekend of working on my exhaust I finally got my TTI 3" exhaust installed :clapping:  Have an appointment setup to get my windshield & rear glass installed on Thursday.  About all I have left to get it road worthy is to get the front clip adjusted and lined up.  Having some trouble getting the hood to close all the way, anyone have any suggestions?  Seems to be binding back by the hinge's, not sure which way to move it to get it to close.  It gets within a couple of inches then seems to bind up.  HELP!

Here is some pics of the exhaust, turned out real nice.  The one picture is kinda FUZZY  :picture:, I'll try to get a better picture later.

And yes I know the rears are a little narrow!  I plan on putting at least 15x8" rims and  some P275-60 rubber on the back, should help!

Mike

OH my GOD!! That baby looks AWESOME!!
My comment on the small rear wheels was meant for the pic when you had it on the dolly - trying to be funny...
It actaully looks great the way yo have it now. And then the exhaust - more goodies!!

Breaking news!  I took the Cuda out on it's maiden voyage, about 2 miles round trip to see if it would make it that far.  Remember at this point I still had no windshield or rear glass!  It ran great, probably only hit 30-40MPH tops but mostly just cruised to see how it would drive.  When I got back on my street, I thought I would give it a little gas to see how it ran.   :eek2:  HOLY CRAP!  I pushed the throttle about 1/2 way down and I was sideways! :burnout:  This thing is stupid fast!  Can't wait to get it all finished and take it out for another drive.  I took it to the glass installer in a enclosed trailer today, should have her back tomorrow.  Can't wait!  Oh yea, the pistol grip shifter felt great!
