How much should I pay for a four speed rebuild?
« on: January 27, 2008 - 12:44:00 AM »
They just yanked the motor and trans out of our 71 Challenger.  I would like to have the trans rebuilt while it's out  what is a good price on this job? We are going to hook it up to a new 408 stroker from Blueprint engines.  :feedback:

  Howdy,

Maybe you should ask the question with what location you live in, as people can relate when they have a local guy and you maw be local to another member. :2cents:

Brewer's charges $349 + parts.  If You need an excellent job, that's the place.  I've been dealing with them for many years and I can't say enough about their work and their knowledge.

the condition of the 4 spd cam make a Huge difference in price , the basic rebuild with brgs & gaskets should be 350 range , , hard parts can add up fast though , it could be cheaper to just get a new unit from Passon for 2000 or so
