We are selling the 318 out of the 71 challenger NOM
« on: January 27, 2008 - 12:49:47 AM »
I don't much about this engine except its not the original.  It has an  Eldebrock manifold and had headers (we are keeping the headers) it was running when we took it out last week.  Call me with questions   :working:

id be interested in the intake manifold off that motor.  when it comes to determining the value of something like a 318 im reminded of my days in the motorcycle salvage business.  someone would call and ask me something like " how much is my 73 cb450 honda worth for scrap?" my reply......" how much does it weigh? "

I looked for a 318 for a good price for 3 months and couldnt' find one.  As soon as I found a 72 runner I had 3 people offer me the 318's for almost nothing.
I am currently looking for a 318 to replace in a challenger but I don't want to drive 1000 miles to get one.
Where are you located at?  What is your asking price?

Ditto.  I haven't had any bites on my stout 318 engine and I priced it as low as $200.

I'm thinking that my 73 Barracuda with it's numbers-matching 318 will be worth MORE when I place the non-numbers-matching 440 into it.

Agreed?

I have a 318 intake and carb. It's been sitting in the garage for about 4 years.

i have no need for a 318 intake and carb.  i was assuming that steve/bryce had a 4bbl manifold on his.  im putting together a 360 for my car.  my buddy with the studebaker knows this and would like me to render my running 318 challenger immovable in order to sell him my 2bbl carb.  i told him i would extend my tenacles and see if i could snag him one.

Agreed. Originality, when it comes to a /6 or 318, doesn't mean much.
