I saw what an awesome site it was and everyone made me feel so welcome and didn't pick on me because I was a girl, lol.  Then I met MEK and it all went downhill from there...  :poopoke:

Somehow she always wins.   :bricks1:

I know you aren't old enough, but the sitcom "Maude" comes to mind.   :22yikes:

If you can picture April as Bea Arthur, I'm good with it!!   :smilielol:

I was trying to diagnose some electrical problems, and after a web search this looked like the place where I'd get the best answers.  I went through the registration process figuring that I'd make one or two posts to get my questions answered and then forget the password. Next thing I knew I was in conversations with a bunch of really nice people.

I love Mopars, specifically E-Bodies and enjoy the learning, cars, stories and people on here.
It's the best forum I've been to and I've been to heaps. Everyone is happy and arrogance is left at the door.

We hear about some really cool members here, their projects, and we hear some amazing stories is why I like this place.

Then we get together in a parking lot once a year to match faces to their site name. Eat pizza in parking lots late at night, hanging out under the tent with everyone, watch April dance.  :smilielol:  It's a great experience to do at least once, even if you're far away. Last year, we had one member come over from Europe to Carlise.

So if you've been here for a while and have had a lot of fun on this forum, you owe yourself one small effort that you won't regret....meeting your fellow members for the first time. Just do it once and I guarantee you will always remember those few days for a long time to come. And then likely, you will want to return once again or even more times down the road.

I found out about this site from my wife after some people at Mopar Nationals told her about it when they stopped by and checked out my 71 Challenger RT. I waited awhile before I checked this web site out and found out I had been missing a whole section of our hobby I had never thought about before. It really is about people sharing stories, problems, and things we are all interested in. I have loved E-body cars since they came out but being from a Ford family I had to wait till 1976 when I moved to southern IL. to find out what I had been missing as far as muscle mopar cars in our hobby. The first 6-pack car I rode in had me hooked and I have never looked back or regretted my choice of moving to a all Mopar house hold. I think most everyone here has a great desire to learn more about these cars and we don't give people a hard time for asking silly questions.  Many of us don't know everything there is to know about mopar cars and never will but the wealth of knowlege here will help us all keep out mopar cars running great for years.

I came to find a project car.  Didnt find a car on here, but I did get some tags decoded from you guys, and I was hooked from then.  I really really want to meet up with some of you guys at this parking lot that that Topcat speaks of.

I checked this site while I was looking for a Cuda to buy, and ended up reading some of the posts.  The vibe here was very unlike many of the automotive sites I visited.  It was friendly and helpful and very welcoming compared to the BS, bravado and Fast and Furious language on some of the others.
I noticed guys like Chryco who was always ready to help with experiece or even labor if he could, and guys like Moparal who would rather give a guy a rare part to get their car going than sell it for more than it is worth on Epay.  These guys are not the exception here.  I read the Cudaguy stuff, and it blew me away.
All of you guys are the real deal.  It felt like a bunch of the car guys (and gals) i hung around with in my misspent youth were talking and helping each other out.  Some of us can't even afford a project car, and some of us have a stable of real Hemi cars - and nobody seems to care which side you come from.  This site is growing and will probably change a bit, but as long as we have each others back and remember that keeping these cars alive and rolling down the highway is the whole point, I think we will be OK.

I know! I talk too much.
Thanks for letting me play too.

My car addiction started with a used, hotrodded 68 GTX when I was 17. Then a 68 Barracuda, then I saved for years to get my first E-body, the 70 6-pack Cuda that I still have. Saved a few more years and got my 71 conv.

Now the real reason I am HERE. Just wanted to post some pics of my cars and have people that I have never met tell me how cool I am.  :dunno:

I simply found this site by searching the web - I knew the value of web-based forums for cars, having been a member of another one for a good 4+ years.

As far as Mopars go, it's all because of dear ol' Dad.  I rode in the back seat of his 72 'Cuda from San Diego to Annapolis, MD at the ripe old age of 11 months.  That car was my high-chair, my play pen, and my bed for 3 days.  It only makes sense that today, well, I can reach the pedals of my very own E-body 'cuda.  :)

I'm just glad I got to be a member of this group - the first time I applied I got a dear-john letter that I couldn't be accepted at this time.  I had a different screenname - can't even remember what I had used, so that may have been why.  I tried again when I actually got my car, and here I am!
