Hard to fire up the engine with no fuel line attached to the fuel pump.

:1zhelp:  Need more help!!!  I assume that it doesn't have to do with the engine since it has to do with an oddity of the car?  Yes?  No?  :1zhelp:

Did it come with a 26" radiator from the factory with a 340?  :clueless:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Well first off.........the gas cap is on the drivers side because if the pic was inverted the truink emblems would be on the wrong side.   I don't see much of a fuel pump.  Looks too short. The horn is taking the washer bottle spot. Also it looks like the engine is off set to the passenger side too much.  Appears to be plenty of room on the drivers side. But what do I know..............?          And My original 340 non R/T came with the dual Exhaust tips but I don't know which radiator.  Didn't know to even look for a different size back in 70.

Ok this is my last guess.  In pic number three, the water pump mounting is different from what I normally see.  Perhaps it is aftermarket and that is the way it is, wouldn't call that odd.  Perhaps everyones definition of odd is way way different than yours  :stirpot:

Chrome timing chain cover, nothing odd there
Oh the black hook shaped thing is for the alternator mounting.

the fuel pump is a high volume pump , no issue there , the horns are in th ecorrect positon , the engine is located correctly , the covers are wider though
the water pump is the alum housing but otherwise normal

It looks like the block has mounting ears for both a Hemi and a 440 type mounts.
