another wheel question or two
« on: January 27, 2008 - 08:19:49 PM »
After doing alot of research on the sight and tire sizing, the best option is a 17" rim, with stock suspension on a 70 challenger will they work or do I need to get the relocation kit for the leafs?  And I am uncertian about the front, is stock ball joints ok with 17" rims or do I need something special up front to?

Well, i think You could go bigger on the rear than I got but i got 255/45/17 on the rear and 245/45/17 on the front.  No mods.  I'm going to try the 255 on the front at some point.  That way i can try some 275 50 17 on the rear...

I put 295 series rears on 18x9s on my cuda. No mods to the suspension or body. Not saying i guarantee it will fit your particular car, but 275 range or so i wouldnt think would be an issue. 235 up front on 17x8
