As I said. Go to your profile, in the [MODIFIED PROFILE] section select: "Look and Layout Preferences". Down the bottom you will see 3 fold down options, the 2nd one down reads: "Use quick reply on topic display" if you don't want to see all the smiles each time you post you want to select "show, on by default".

Now go to the main forum index, go to any thread you want to reply to and you'll notice at the bottom of all the threads is a small box "quick reply". You can post what you would in the normal set up except this method eliminates smiles and misc coding. This doesn't turn them off, only Admin can delete the smiles. At least now you don't have to wait for 100 odd smiles to load every time you post. ;)

4Cruizn,
suggestion for board update; the ability to disable the smiley display on topic create/reply, please!

This is a something we will have to take up our Admin.  Not sure how easy it would be??   :clueless:

I'm not familiar with this board s/w but in some cases its a simple switch.  Maybe it wouldn't be too difficult.

I have not seen one of those yet....

Taco Head over on Moparts can occasionally make them to order, he has a program for it and the know how. He did the VB one I just posted quite a while ago.
