Hey Cowboy,

If you want to keep that Mopar feel about it i would be looking at the Hurst Pistol grip shifter part #316 2014 .  Reverse pattern shifter.

and the accesories, you have to buy a cover seperatly.

If you are talking after market, you need one that is set up with a reverse pattern gate or can be converted to a reverse pattern gate. Most of the popular ones (B&M,Hurst etc.) can be converted by buying a reverse pattern plate and installing it.

How do the shifter know wich gear I'm in, - Reversed body, or not..???

I got a very old - BM I think - laying around somewhere, that only has one position, and work rachet both ways.

I want somekind of manuel trans feeling, without gettin a left leg like mister universe...  :roflsmiley:

Yeps, I think so, - you have to use two hands to opperate the R and P lock...  :pullinghair:

And always remember when to use the "grip-handle" or not... More  :pullinghair:

That is part of the "reverse lock out" feature, a safety thing built into the shifter.

I love the B&M quicksilver. No funny levers to pull or knobs to push. You pick up on the handle to goto park or reverse. other than that it is a straightforward ratchet shifter from 1 to 3 (or even 4 if you have an overdrive). it comes with a round knob, but we always switched out to a T handle with a transbrake button built in. here's a pic of it as it comes along with a couple mounted in my old Grand National.

Is that shifter available in reverse pattern?

Is that shifter available in reverse pattern?

Yes. Going from park to reverse, drive, or neutral just requires picking up on the knob and moving it to the right position. if you have a reverse pattern then "drive" will actually be first gear and you can pull back and ratchet into 2nd, then 3rd. I guess if you had a forward pattern valve body you would have to drop it into drive then ratchet it all the way down to low and work up from there. Then again if you have a forward pattern manual just stick with a factory slapstick. Same shifter works on 3 and four speed autos. Just remove a pin and it can go four gears. really is a cool shifter and we loved it because we could keep our stock Buick consoles. My car was a 3 speed reverse pattern turbo 400 with transbrake. very easy to work when you are strapped in tight and trying to work a transbrake or linelock and stage the car with SFI gloves on. The quarterstick is okay, but remembering when to hold that lever and when not too when racing is asking for trouble. The shifters requiring two hands for the reverse lockout or the goofy two finger pull-up lever are just silly.
