Went to pick up my "new" heads today. :bananasmi
I know, maybe not that thrilling compared to Indys or Eddys......

915 castings
1.80 exhaust
2.14 intake

The 915 heads are pretty good. What kind of work did you have done to them?

In my wifes opinion thats what I am,  :crazy: anyway my money I do what I like with them.



Thats correct R/T should be 1.81. Had a set of 346 on my other engine block, this is another block with cast# from -67 so hopefully it will be date correct for my car.
KB piston#162, mopar cam 284/484, tti headers, square decked and line honed block, haven`t decided yet, thinking of going with factory .014 down in the hole, .020 head shims. Hope I don`t do anything foolish

I paid about $430 for the job, new hardend valve seats and valves new bronze guides with a set of new valvesprings, then he cleaned up the exhaust ports just a little.
I`ll probably port match the heads and intake while I`m at it.

Just check the valve to piston clearance to make sure they are good.  Otherwise the quench should be great and help to keep it from having compression issues.

I do believe I read about the minimum clearence somewhere, was it .02" that was recommended?
I`m not sure of where I read this.

I believe I read between .030 and .050...

At .020 you're in risk of the piston hitting the head when it pivots as the crank rolls around.
