Hi all, need your help/advice. I'm building a VERY original looking 71 Hemi Cuda convertible clone(just like the car pictured in my flashing icon) everything under the hood will be correct as to part# and will even be date code correct for the year. Here's the dilemma, I'm hiding a 472 crate Hemi under all the stock accessories, it will look stock but it will run a wee bit stronger (sort of like a scalded dog!)
The one upgrade I wish to add other than frame connectors and some mild suspension upgrades like urethane bushings and a beefier sway bar is a better front braking system.
I want to go with disc brakes but a little better than the factory stuff, the only thing I don't like about the non-factory performance systems I've seen are that they use a modern looking master cylinder that I think looks like crap in the middle of all the correct OEM equipment. .....
So, here's the question:
What braking system can you guys recomend that uses good quality aftermarket disc brakes, a stock APPEARING Chrysler OEM type master cylinder, and a hidden or factory appearing proportioning valve? Keep in mind I want it to at least appear basically correct under the hood. Try to be specific and include company names and part numbers for the application if you can. I'll be running factory 15 x 7 Rallye wheels. If no good aftermarket systems come to mind what later model MOPAR disc brakes (single piece rotor design) would you go with ? (again, please be specific as to part #'s etc.)
