When I bought my Challenger I didn't check to see if the wipers worked. I picked up a second wiper motor when I realised they didn't work. I found that one terminal was burnt off, the lower one on the motor, so I fitted the other motor, it didn't work either. I had current at most of the terminals. I suspected the switch which was poorly earthed.
That is where I am at the moment, I have no diagrams here in Australia of this layout, I have downloaded a circuit diagram of a 70 Challenger but it is not with me ( its 50mls away ).
I can get the motor to turn sometimes and I can get it to run backwards.
Can anybody tell me what voltages I should have on each terminal ( 2 speed ).
I saw a post on another thread and it showed the back of 2 different switches, mine is a 2 speed but looking at that post they said it was a 3 speed? I only have 3 positions, off, position 1( low), position 2 ( high ).
I am on a friends computor without a printer so any pics or info I can copy down would be greatly appreciated.
I am going through the wiring, the low beam head lights voltage was 6.5 volts at the light, so I installed a relay,
, daylight. It has the advantage of taking the load off of the headlight switch.
I have also installed more earths, battery to front radiator support panel, battery to firewall and more to come. Will be bypassing the amp guage which is working fine at the moment, and the main charging circuit will be re-routed solidly bypassing the firewall connector.
Thanks in advance for any and all help,
David
