1970 Barracuda 318 CONVERTIBLE
« on: February 01, 2008 - 12:23:05 PM »
So, a couple years back i was driving back to the office and i looked over in the parking lot of my building and to my surprise! a Cuda Convertible!  :22yikes: So, I HAD to check it out!! As i pulled up, there was a fellow gaurding the
car(s) who told me these were for the HBO show "The Wire" he told me this car was to be burned in a scene!!  :villagers:

anyway, it had a few peices still left, so when i returned one night to "rescue" these parts, all cars were gone!!

fast forward to a few weeks ago, and i was watching Season 4 on DVD, and on episode 12 there SHE was!!! not being burned, but being towed off of the street on a rollback, the only thing you could see was the outer door handle, My Girlfriend thought i was crazy "rewind, There it is!!!, one more time, look!!! a Cuda!!!"

anyway, im horrified to see what became of the car now that filming is over for this show, oh where are you!? you still have/ had sweet convertible chrome!!!!!!

This kind of bad news just makes you wonder why they do it. Burning or crashing classic cars gets my attention on TV but it doesn't impress me one bit.

Man, they either don't know what they had there or just don't care. Either way it's trully sad to see another one go, and for what?   :crying:

I'll be sure to try and do some research. I had a buddy that was an extra and told me that there were a bunch of junk cars in the lot down in Columbia, Md. I will research!!

Hey 69BronzeRt if you want these pics you can take them with the story
