    If you don't like that crazy paint, get over yourself. Of course most people would not do that today, but back in the day, these were the eye catchers and everyone thought they were cool. If I bought this I would not change a thing. Remember, everything comes back into fashion at some point.

    Here's my 72 cuda...viper red and stripes. Most saw the back bumper when it ran a 9.72 at 138 mph street trim

    I like these cars too, what ever happened to that purple and silver one from MCG a while back that someone was apprently going to change back to original factory. Stupid!!! id leave it!

    the reason i call this one an atrocity, is only b/c its listed as a '71 SE, and i would definitely  :faint: if i found out this was one of few A078 optioned cars out there like mine.........

    I would still love to know if this guy has the fender tag info  :dunno:

    Does Jackie have a pick of the white 71 Charger from around York, PA?? it has hearts cut out of the back floor with plexiglass installed, so you can see the people you run over!! like the old cartoons!  :clapping:

    Not as wild paint but cool.  It's a '70 Challenger T/A race car called "Gypsy". 

    I think I read about it in Mopar Collector's Guide.  Sorry, couldn't find any pics but here's a video link. The pics from what I remember were really cool since it retainer all the original paint/graphics from the 70's from when it raced.

    From this thread I see how passionate everyone is to Mopars in general.  We ALL have different opinions of what we believe a Mopar muscle car should look like.  I am seeing a division of our unity over something as cosmetic as a paint job.   Lets all step back, count to 10, and chill out a little.  Variety is the spice of life, even with our Mopar machines. 

    If ALL of our ebodys looked the same, were painted the same, had the same engines....what would be unique about them then???  Just another mustang or camaro is all our ebodys would be.  There, you all just got  my 2¢.

     :iagree: 100%.  I might get knocked for saying this but after you see so many '70 Challengers with a ____ for an engine and in only X many paint shades (Description left out to avoid self incrimination!  :grinyes: ), it gets a little boring...  :sleeping:. 

    Trust me, I love Challengers and Cudas but if they were all sublime (Sorry, not to pic on this color but just to illustrate a point.  :thumbsup: ), after seeing a few hundred of them I might get tired of them.

    It is representative of an era. Nothing more or less. It would be a shame if all the psychodelic and lace paint jobs disappeared just because they were dated. I think we need some of the them to remain intact just for the simple fact that they are so radically different. Would I paint my car that way now, no, but 35 years ago it may have been a different story. Think of it as a rolling piece of museum style history. Only it needs to have some sidepipes and N50 Pos-i-traction tires too.

    I seen the crazy challenger that started this thread at street machine nationals in Ill. in the late eighties. Thought I had pics but I used a video camera at that show.
