Haven't seen that mirror on one before ,you may want to remove it and look for a mopar pentastar and part number on the inside of the base.

They look like some i remember on some of the early and late 60's plymouth and dodges. I am sure they came on darts in the us also and the 60's Chargers and other lines as such as the fury.  Sorry tired tonight after a long day of getting up really early to catch a flight.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

There was a time not too long ago where original mirrors were hard to find.  Most cars only came with a drivers side mirror also.

Here's a factory 70 drivers side.  I have a 71/74 drivers side if you need one

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-E-BODY-CHALLENGER-CUDA-MIRROR_W0QQitemZ190195025373QQihZ009QQcategoryZ33649QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

interesting... just watched my favorite movie vanishing point (1971) and I noticed that the drivers side mirror there is more square shaped and bigger than this smaller and oval shaped mirror on eBay... have they changed the mirror at some point during filming? And actually it looks pretty close to that one what CrazyPete is asking  :clueless:

My Challenger is having same kind of mirror like that one on the eBay and would like to have confirmation which one is original for ´70 Challenger... and I mean basic drivers side mirror (not optional "racing" type remote operated mirror).

Thanks in advance!

Soke

You know, a weird thought on this....I don't know if it was for the camera viewing the driver but if my memory serves me correctly, the Vanishing Point Challenger had the same mirror....  :dunno:  :clueless:

I remember pulling the original mirror off my 70 Barracuda very early in it's life and replacing it with the factory bullet shaped one.  If I recall correctly (and it was a LONG time ago) the mirror you show is just like the one I removed.  I know it was a rectangular chrome one.  It certainly looks like the factory original one.  I'll start looking through boxes and see if I can find it.
