Sorry for the double post Mike, but also look at the Krylon Fusion Textured Shimmer #2520 Black.

I have a can of that if you want it, it's yours.

This is the dark argent Krylon. It is lighter after it dried and in the light. They also make it in light and med. They spray great, I painted the 5 centers on 1/2 a can.

By the way the hamberger was good also!!! :smilielol: :smilielol:

Thanks for all the input everyone!!

I held my newly blasted center section up to the grill surround while the sun was shining today. I have to say at this point, I'm leaning towards painting it black, or something darker than the argent. I didn't notice until today, but the Challenger logo would show up nicer on a darker background. Stay tuned, I'm not sold just yet.  :grinno:

Hemiken,

I did get one of those Dodge emblems for my hood. I didn't know this was another 70 only thing. Anyway, I just don't know about it yet.  :dunno: Maybe I'll hi-jack my own thread and post a pic of me holding it over the front of the hood and see what the majority says.

OK,

Hi-jacking my own thread here... hemiken has suggested my car would look better with the Dodge emblem on the front of the hood. Before I drill a couple of more holes into the car, I'd like to hear what everyone has to say about it. I'm neutral right now, but it is neat that it seems to be a 70 only thing on the flat hoods. These are pics of with, and without. That small screwdriver came in handy.  :grinyes:

Sorry to burst you guy's bubbles, but it is not a '70 only thing, mine has one.

But I think it looks much better with it, Mike.   :2thumbs:

I just did a quick, half @ss retouch to get the distracting screwdriver out of the way to try, and get a better feel for it.
I must say I kind of like it  ..................(the hood, not my failed photoshop retouch  :bricks1:  )

I like the emblem, and think the black would look nice on your grille.  Maybe a Satin so you could wash it a bit easer. :dunno:

Definitely with the emblem.  Especially since the centerline on the hood is already stamped with the flare for the emblem to begin with.
