The JL21 was the order code for the Challenger Coupe. The cars did have JH23 VINs as stated, it just says JL21 on the ordering info.

The fixed rear window on Challengers was still coded as JH cars not JL..........
1970 were Deputy's and 71 had with A93 code for fixed window coupes.
I've never heard of JL Challengers either. :walkaway:

1971 Barracuda   (O O {]{]{]|[}[}[} O O)

1971 Challenger  (O O ===== ===== O O)
I pay homage to the best Mopars ever built.

These are copies I made of dealer ordering sheets.  I copied them from a dealer back in the 80's when I was trying to find a code for the wide hood trim for my convertible.  They kept the originals. I finally did get my part numbers from what was called a crash book.  I wish I had copies of the crash books.  They were easier to use than the parts book.

My console was probably removed by the time I got my R/T.

Thanks for the information Barry. I wonder why Chrysler didn't stamp a JL21 VIN?
