FY4 70 Cuda
« on: February 04, 2008 - 11:11:19 PM »
I made an error on the GY4 color. It is FY4 that I need a pic for a 70 Cuda.
Thanks again.
Glen

FY4 cars seem to be fairly scarce, I  have only had one photo submitted to the HH site so far of one Challenger in that color, you can see it (and some empty spaces) at this link;

Barry, that build sheet Dwight has that came with my lemon twist m46 car I think was fy4 also. It had 2 build sheets one in the front and one under the seat. 2 different sheets. I had mentioned this a few yrs back. Did Dwight send you the stuff yet? I sent you, through Dwight, the original fy1 sheet and the fy4 sheet.

Hey Al,
Dwight sent me a photocopy of one sheet and kept the originals you sent him to give to me.

I was kind of shocked, he has (had?) a great reputation. I am still shocked actually. I have not responded to his letter because I just do not know what to say to him.  :dunno:

Thanks for trying though!

Glen:
I'm not sure exactly what pictures you're looking for - As I'm sure you have discovered, needles in haystacks are FAR easier to find than pictures of FY4 E-bodies!  My Challenger was originally FY4, and I looked for years for pictures - The Chrysler Historical Archives didn't even have any pictures.

Anyway, I do have just a couple, but not Cudas.  The pictures below are a Challenger and a Charger.  I will look on my work computer tomorrow - I may have 1 or 2 of a Cuda.  Like most colors, it looks very different, depending on the light.  I see more FY4 on early Barracudas and B-bodies, like the Charger below.

(As you can tell from my avatar, I decided not to go with FY4.  It certainly does make a car rare, though!)

Here's my 70 Cuda, FY4.  for some reason, I don't have many pics of my own car.  TONS of pics on my computer of other peoples cars though.

Thanks again guys for the quick responses. If there is any chance you have access to the VIN on the build sheet for the Cuda I would appreciat knowing what is is since mine is missing to to the buckets being replaced.
Thanks Solarguy for the pic on your Cuda. I searched the internet for a pic but could only find a Challenger overseas. What engine was factory in yours?
I appreciate all your inputs very much.

I've got some pics I can post at home. In your other thread you mention that it's a mod top car. Seems like an odd combo. Normally the yellow mod top would be found on FY1 or DY3.

That is one reason I got the car since it is wierd. Most of the Mod top cars were yellow and not gold. According to the Mod Top registry only around 15 Cudas had the Mod top so I doudt there are any others like this.

My old BS23H silver cuda was originally FY4. It was always silver while I had it though.

Where did your car come from?????  I had one FY4 340 auto in B.C. a bunch of years ago.... and have never seen one since.  I heard my car went to Florida.

Hound dawger, I got my car out of Delta, B.C. around 2000.  I'm in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  do you remember the vin #?
Car is an automatic.
