Eagle connecting rods
« on: February 07, 2008 - 10:41:34 AM »
Made an order for a set of Eagle connecting rods from Mancini for my B engine. Just want to ask you guys if anyone has any experience whether these rods needs to be checked for out of round and straighten, even though that they are new from Eagle.
According to my engine shop they do need a check.

Im running Eagle rods and have had no problems, but i suppose if they are second hand, they should be checked.

I bought a set of Eagle H Beam for my 451 stroker. The engine builder said they were perfect and so evenly matched in weight that they did not have to do a thing with them.

I bought a SB set and the big ends were way out of round.  The small end to pin clearance has to be checked/reamed too.  It's cheap to have checked.
