I'm a bit confused now  :clueless:
 This is right out of the  Challenger & Barracuda Restoration Guide 1967-1974
Unless I am reading this wrong  :dunno:
V8X is right above V8R
 :feedback:

Is that the book by Paul Herd?  If so, I've noticed some little mistakes here and there also.  But look at the side exhaust on that AAR Cuda in the pic.

Is that one factory?  The angle and the tips look wrong.  :clueless:  Looks almost as if there are no mufflers? :dunno:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car

Phil in New England-Massachusetts  Always thank God for what you have!

The AAR pictured is one of the pilot cars. (pre-production)

The 1970 dealer data book and the trim selector have mistakes too. They were usually printed up before they had all the details nailed down 100%.

There is another error on this page, can you spot it?

I see it lists the 340 performance package as available with the R/T. The 340 was not in the R/T lineup until '71 right?
1971 Challenger (OO==== ====OO) getting close!
1970 Challenger (OO########OO) long ways off

Actually, the N/A is "not available" so that part is right.

You are right about the 340 availabilty for 1971 though.

On the stripe page the yellow (gold) bumble bee stripe is missing; V9Y  :grinyes:     (and some other colors)

That's probably where they got that code from to make the tag.

I'll take a stab.  The bumbkebee stripe was available on a base Challanger with the A66 340 Package.  In fact, it was standard but could be deleted.   ;)

Hey Barry,  Did you mean the bit in the text about V88 ?
1970 Barracuda   (O^--^===|===^--^O)
1971 Barracuda   (O O {]{]{]|[}[}[} O O)
1970 Challenger  (O O [======R/T=] O O)
1971 Challenger  (O O ===== ===== O O)
I pay homage to the best Mopars ever built.

I might need another hint.  If it's spelling I'm screwed.   :banghead:

I'm with hemiiken.  Why would there be a V88 code for a stripe delete when the stripes were optional?   Would it show on the tag?
