Name tags, anyone?
« on: February 09, 2008 - 11:48:25 AM »
I have a real hard time remembering names, always have.

Anyway, I was wondering if we should have some blank name tags  with the CC Logo on them. When members come to the tent, they could fill one out with their forum name, and their real name, and memory challenged people like myself wouldn't have to feel so much like an idiot.

BTW, I won't remember anyones name from last year, so please don't be offended.

I think we had some before but they look retarded while you wear them.  I saw one club had shirtw with their user name on the back.  There's an idea!   :naughty:

I like that idea, I can never remember screen names since it's not everyday vocabulary stuff. But I can remember faces and who is a jerk and who was normal   I know I'm a jerk so everyone will remember me.  :roflsmiley:  Im the one you can fool 3 times in a row the joke saying..your shoes untied. Im just too trusting around everyone.

I made a shirt with the CC-Com Wasp and my user name on it last year.

It seemed to work ok, but I was just looking for something that would be quick and easy regardless of what we wear.

Some of us might be there for 3 days, walking around in 80-90+ degree weather, lugging around parts, crawling under cars, etc.

Either means we have multiple shirts, or we stand at least 10 feet away from each other.   :roflsmiley:

Saturday seems to be the big day usually and that would be the day to wear the shirts.  Maybe I'll check into it.

I am terrible with names too. If you put your VIN number on the name tag, I may have a better chance at knowing who you are.

I am pretty sure I will remember your name Mike.

Especially if you will be wearing the red-glitter pumps.  ;)

Avery, the label people, also makes iron-on t-shirt transfers that can be printed in an inkjet and then applied to a t-shirt. I've made a few for myself (quickie jobs, nothing fancy) including this one modeled on a shirt I saw on ebay, altered after I read the "What is your car mistaken for?" thread here. It would be easy for most folks to use these to make shirts.

The ones I used were Hanes, from the under**** people. They worked pretty good, too.
