Dave (at least I think it's Dave... ;) ) had the idea of taking photos at the show with maybe a Polaroid or something, and then putting up a board with the freshly taken pictures and a small tag with the member's screenname and real name.  I thought it was a good idea, but would force someone to stay at the tent for a few hours getting it all put together.

I'll admit I'm still bad with names (right Mike/Dave/Whateveryournameis?) so something like name tags or something would help me too...

I'm up for wearing name tags at least while at the tent.  Shirts with names would get expensive.  Any other ideas?   :dunno:

Anyone have any idea as to how many will be there, or is it still too early?

For what it's worth, using the system I was talking about everybody could make their own shirt for a cost of $5-10, with anything they wanted on the shirt. Assuming that I make it to Carlisle this year I'll probably make one anyway; as long as I'm gainfully unemployed I could assemble a graphic for anyone that's interested, e-mail it to them, and they could print it on an inkjet and iron it on a shirt.

How 'bout we just call everyone Jeff or Dave.  :)  And we can just alternate too - call someone Jeff one time, then call 'em Dave the next time...  Sorta like my parents way of calling either of their four kids... "Hey You!"

Speaking as a Dave (or at least a David) I find that acceptable.

I just got a letter in the mail a few minutes ago saying they just had a change in upper managment. So I have a new manager now that doesnt know what all my skills are. Just maybe I will get to show up now  This is July 13th?  I was scheduled to work 30 16 hr days in a nitrogen plant in Oklahoma in July. There is a chance I can make it now.  If I come, please don't pick on the old gray haired people too much. We did manage somehow to hold onto some of these e bodies to share with you young guns. I'd like to get the chance to meet everyone. Don't know if I can get my car up there or not. I have never been to anything like this and don't know what to expect. I usually stay to myself unless working , racing or on a stage fiddling with a guitar or something.  I may even chicken out. Crouds make me nervous when up in them.   Will we be in a tent?   I don't know what to expect.....

Well Al, I went for the first time last year not knowing what to expect, and had an absolutely amazing time.  I'm the same way - pretty introverted for the most part, but I had a great time meeting people and chatting and making friends.  Simply put, everyone is open and nice, everyone is out to help everyone else.  I tend to be pretty selfish myself, admittedly, but after meeting the people of CC.C, I'd give the shirt off my back if I could.

Well since there were three (ladies) named Nancy there last year (Kenny's Nancy, Dave's Nancy and Jim's Nancy) all I should have to do is yell out, "Hey Nancy get me a beer will ya?"  However, Jim's Nancy don't drink, Kenny's Nancy won't be there, and Dave keeps "his" Nancy waiting on him hand and foot, so I guess this "other" Nancy may get me a brewski. :roflsmiley:  :smilielol:
