Another 70's way was longer rear shackles. Oh the memories. But I don't suggest this method either.
I am with Chryco on his last statement. So I have the one last 80's style suggestion for the poor man. I used to do this all the time.
I'd get 1" longer ubolts and a new center pin. Go and buy some 3/4 truck springs. They had a bigger arch. I kept the factory top e body main spring and then used a long truck spring after that, and staggered it just one inch from the front hanger. Then the 3rd spring was stock e body, the 4th was truck , keeping the stagger in front 1" shorter each time. Then the rest was stock e body under that like normal. So I ended up running 8 on the left and 9 on the passenger side. It raised the ride height, made it ridgid, and helped launch the car. I reclamped the front springs together, And left the back unclamped.
So old school ways was
1 air shocks
2 coil helpers
3 longer rear shackles
4 Adding leafs
Re-arching and or adding springs is a good sure way to achieve your goals
