I'm not saying this is your problem but it does remind me of something we were told at last months Mopar club meeting by a very experienced car guy.....The rubber brake hoses deteriorate from the inside, the inner liner can split & allow a bubble of brake fluid to escape in between the inner & outer hose. When the brake pedal is released the pressure from inside the hose is enough that on one of the front brakes the car will pull to that side and if its the rear hose actually apply enough pressure to keep them locked.....Sound familiar?

I just checked part numbers for 1970 cars and 1973 cars and the part numbers are different. I have the one for a 73 on my car and it is a 70. since the rear drum sizes are different between these two years, could this be my issue??? I ordered the one for a 1970, shoud be here tomorrow by 1400.  :woo: hopefully between this and another proportioning valve i should be good to go. who knows though. If this works, anyone want a 73 disc brake Master Cylinder, only 2 months old  :poopoke:

Tell me more as I have been screwing around with a rebuilt master cylinder for some time...
Where did it come from, does it look anything like the OE & what would you want for it shipped to 35802.

you can have it just pay for shipping. I am going to swap it out tomorrow. will have to wait till mon or tue to ship it, unless you wanna drive to Panama City to pick it up. i think it looks like the 73 factory. i will surf the web and find a pic of what it looks like. it is dirty but thats it. it was bought from advance.

OK I'll see ya in about 6 hrs.....how's da beach this weekend?!?!?

Sounds like a deal to me BUT you might want to just change the proportioning valve 1st as you may find that is where the problem lies & you could return the other...I'm in no big hurry so let me know where to send the $ when & if your ready.

I havent been to the beach in quite a while. spring break is coming up so i will keep even further, gets married people in trouble. anyway, i will change it tomorrow and let you know. I have class Monday but other than that i am free.

Are you SURE that's for disk brakes..I thought that the equal MC reservoirs was for drums & while different from the '73 style the disk MC had a smaller forward reservoir for the rear & larger rear.

I'm with Bullit on this one.  If the box says for disc brakes, then they have packaged it wrong.  Deffinetly looks to be a drum to drum Master.  You can tell by the reserviors, drum to drum have equal size reserviors.  Disc are like what Bullit posted. :drunk:
