on a 1970 Challenger auto......I have a 3 prong wire harness I think is correct for the trans but can't fig out where it goes to?

my manual looks like it should go into a plug on the firewall?

can someone post some pics of the wiring for the backup light from the trans to wherever it goes?

it is routed up the passenger side of the tranny across the firewall & plugs into the firewall bulkhead connector , it should have a 4 pin connector on the harness even though only2 wires go into it , the third wire goes to the starter relay to provide the ground

The starter relay COIL, not the contacts - bat and starter. If you hook it to the bat your switch will go to switch heaven. I think that the key switched side of the starter relay coil contacts is the one on top - so the other one is ground.

there are 2 male connecter tabs on the relay [just push on not bolt on ], either can be ground or power
