Cuda Website Suggestions?
« on: February 12, 2008 - 08:07:15 PM »
Just kinda tinkering around with the website i've had forever. It's pretty plain and simple, any suggestions/recommendations? Stuff to add, take away, etc. It's gettin up there little by little. Figure a links page, little of the history i know on the car, maybe fender tag/build sheet info, do a addition on my Dad's Overhaulin' Challenger with pics, story, info

Any help? Too bland looking? Suggestions on that?

I always like the stories behind the cars. The personal stuff without getting too mushy. Tells us about Goody. How you got the car. How you got an interest in Mopars ect. Who, What, How, When & Where?? The site looks clean. Nice graphics. Cool!! :2thumbs:

Hey Mike,  I like your site pretty cool.
Just add stuff as you go. I think your direction is right on track...
just a quick note: Looking at your Cuda which is awesome , maybe a AAR hood in body color and just paint it flat black around the scoop?
What do you think?
Vin......

Those aren't the 'hardline-adapters' summit and them sell. They are just the sleeves and tube nuts. Mine are just single flared with 3/8 aluminum. I love them, haven't had any sealing issues with them, go on/come off very easy. Just wish I waited until the black ones came out :D

Goody,

Just enjoyed your site.  Looks good; couple of ideas.

1.  Maybe have the front of your car fill up the whole page in the background with your other topics strategically located around the pic, or on top of the page.
2.  Some pics of how you did things in the "how to" section would help those who want to learn how you did it.
3.  A "home" button that returns you to the home page on the other pages would make getting around your board a lot easier.

Just my  :2cents:.  Otherwise, I like the board and what you are doing with it.

Good luck,

fantum
Mike

Site looks good to me Mike, you like yours like I like mine, simple, no "flashy stuff" easy to navigate and easy to read. However, if I may and since you asked, it doesn't need anything added IMO, maybe some more tech and eye candy but it just needs a good clean up. Some pages have large images spread over it. In the Denso alternator page for example, the scroll bar still has 15% to go before I reach the "other side" of the page (see print-screen). Perhaps set it up to accommodate most screens? My screen is 17" so by no means an old narrow view.

I run mine so all text is tagged in 550pix blocks, no matter the screen it will only show in blocks of that width. Other than that it just needs a good tidy up, nit picking type stuff that OCD freaks like myself pick up. On some pages the font and page info stops but the page continues for some way without text/photos, just background (white). You just need to make sure all your "break" tags and line codes are the same for each page, maybe two
tags in the body after your last page on every page to keep everything the same. Only little, I know, but you did ask and if it helps, cool!

Either way, great site. It's good having a site as a point of reference.
Instead of trying to describe things to someone just tell 'em you website. Modern age, it's good. :grinyes:

Cheers,
Carl

Mike, looks good to me on the home page, except for that bottom picture.  I think it looks pixelated and dull, needs a much cleaner photo there.   :2thumbs:

Mike, I like it, I especially like your tech section, you should add more, take info from this site (I,m sure no one would mind), like the biggest tires and rims and the spring relocate package, mabey a digital version of the chiltons manual or something of the sort. Also you could add the links page from this site for parts. Also could  use other cudas and challys pics , good pics like the ones used for the calender pics just for others to refrance..ie stance or wheels.
