    Az, there should be some other numbers on the sides of the block that will tell a casting date.   What do you want to know about it?

     :iagree:  And down along the oil pan rail there's a number pad.(sequence number/vin) ?  Also,drivers side,front of block,right under the head gasket may be another stamp pad with serial #.  :dunno:

    Ill check those areas this week
    I know its not the original motor, or doubt is,
    more curious as to what yr it did come out of I guess.

    As Al said,there should be a date cast in the block. like the numbers in your pic. Only a date.  :thumbsup:
