I thought it was a little slow, but overall, I liked it.

I was kind of disappointed because the car didn't seem to have any of the abilities that the original KITT had, like being able to make incredible jumps, etc, although the car crash with the SUV was pretty cool. I liked the ability to change color and self repair, but those ideas were pirated from "Viper"

I liked it!!  Yes it was a BIT of a Ford commercial, but not TOO bad - actually all the Ford commercials over the breaks was the most annoying part.  Especially when Mike started advertising the features of the Focus (a definite, bona-fide chick car) during the spots...

But I liked the story, I liked the action - some of the driving shots were pretty sweet.  Like when he hit "max speed" to LV and started getting air-streaking over the body.  Tacky special effects maybe, but it was cool.

What I read was that they're going to gauge interest, and if people respond well to the pilot, they will proceed with more episodes.  I for one give it the green light.  I hope others will.

How anyone could get serious and excited over such crap is beyond me. A waste of time on meaningless nothing, get real.................

That cuts me to the quick, WS.  I gotta be honest.

The reason I HAVE a Barracuda, the reason I'm here on this board is because of the significance a 'Cuda played in my youth.  Knight Rider was another show I enjoyed in my youth - in fact, long before the Barracuda was even significant to me.  That's why I'm excited for it.  It means something to me - it's a revival of my childhood.

Let me ask this at least - would you rather I jump on the board and chat about a car show like Knight Rider, or yammer on about who's going to win American Idol or Celebrity Apprentice - two shows that I think contribute to the "dumbing down" of mankind.  All I mean to say man is there's no need to go calling people stupid because of what they like to watch on TV.

I was expecting a bunch of action/adventure but instead it seemed to focus alot on the characters and who they were. A couple of bad guys running around looking for them. I agree it was a little slow. It wasn't like "OMG"..."Whats going to happen next?"
Nice car though. I'd own it if I could except without that ricer wing ding.

I'm waiting on my phone call from Ford, they are giving one away.  You had to answer a question on the website correctly, then enter the sweepstakes.  Should be any day now...   :icon16:

Here's a comparison of the old and new KITT:

Sorry I already won that car - so if they call and tell you that you won, just say, "Oh no my buddy Jeff won that already."   Tell everyone else you know who entered too, okay?  Thanks...

Good show.  The girl was pretty cute too.   ;)

If you didn't know, that's actually Jody Lynn O'Keefe from Nash Bridges.  She looked very nice back when that show was still new, but still doesn't look bad some 7-9 years later. :grinno:

I thought this was odd - someone posted a link to this site about some movie "Doubles" that appeared to be for sale.  It turns out it's a company that rents vehicles for motion picture usage...  I found this vehicle on their site...

Doesn't that look exactly like the GMC that was totalled at the end of the show?  Even the front rim looks familiar - I noticed as it was falling back onto the ground in the show that it seems to have aftermarket wheels...

It's totally feasible that they rented this vehicle for the movie's production.

Was this new night rider with the Mustang a 1 time deal?  Is there a part 2 or is it a series?  :clueless:

For now it is a one-part show.  A "made for TV movie."

It has an unofficial green light to be made into a series, which probably won't appear until next year.  Last I read there was no "definite thumbs-up," but it had stellar ratings on release night.  Not sure how well the encore presentation went over the weekend, but I for one watched it again!
