I heard it wasn't a very good show.
Depends on who you ask. They had to pack a lot in for basically 1.3 or so hours of actual run-time. Had to create new characters, explain their tie-in to the past, give the conflict, the little plot-twists (there wasn't much, but there never was in Knight Rider) and then wrap it all up.
Some reviews said the plot drolled on and was boring - it was, especially when broken up by 5 minutes of Ford commercials. (The encore performance didn't suffer from nearly as much of this.) But now we know everyone involved, so future episodes, if green-lighted, can be a bit more to-the-point.
Ya know the show itself really wasn't that much of a Ford commercial... In fact, at the scene where KITT helped Michael and Sarah leave the Casino, KITT changed into a color (one of his new abilities) that Ford doesn't even offer the Mustang in - purple! (According to the Ford website.)
Oh, jersyt, I emailed the Forza FAQ site about making a KITT DLC - with old and new versions. (I also asked about an E-body 'Cuda!)
