Are you Sirius????
« on: February 15, 2008 - 08:07:49 PM »
I just bought myself a Sirius Stiletto 2 and man, I am digging it. I dont listen to Stern, I stay tuned into the "Coffee House" (Ch30) and it totally rocks. All acoustic unplugged versions of songs. After a really jacked up week, is nice to sit back and mellow out with some home grown guitar strumming.

I have been on Sirius for over two years, and just paid my lifetimee fees.  I like Sirius, and almost never listen to regular radio now.

I've had it for quite sometime and enjoy it regularly. 103 4 5 and 6 is all comedy. Blue collar comedy is 103.  Sirius is a must when traveling through the nation. Weather reports in major cities, traffic, cnn, fox nascar, every era of music you want, I really like mine

I have yet to venture too far from the Coffee House but it is slick to record songs I like to the device, then plug it into the car and set it to random play. There is zero wait between songs in playback mode. This thing also connects to 802.11X WLAN for better reception. The Stiletto 1 would do this also but it had to be an open unsecured WLAN.

Happy with the little dog for now

Same here. It's great that they replay Stern all day so you can hear the parts you missed.

I'll confess, I used to think the same thing. But I listen to the radio a lot these days. The music they play on FM radio I have heard already and gets played again and again. Talk radio is different and mostly interesting but it's censored and the commercial segements last 10-15mins and even they replay the same commercial content. It just kills me.

The satellite radio product, like bottled water isn't for everyone. For those tired of listening to the same CD's and random and sometimes endless psycho-babble repetition of free radio, it offers a nice change.   :2cents:

Pay for five years of service, around $700.00, and you can sign up for a life time service, you also have to pay a yearly service fee after five years.

I've had Sirius for a few years now, makes driving across the county a lot easier. If you guys aren't listening to Howard 100 and 101 you're missing out, thats all I listen to. If it wasn't for howard Stern Channels I would have an XM radio for the hockey channels.   :2thumbs:

Yeah heard that, it is one of the longest merges in history, been over a year. All I know is they took away our hockey for the time being.  :swear:

I think Stern is a joke but I still love my Sirius. Had it for three years and will have it forever.
I like the political talk channels and Sirius Blues 74, you can't get the blues and jazz like that on regular radio and I live within listening distance of New Orleans radio stations.
I also like the 80's rock and newer rock stations.
I am a guy that likes just about any kind of music except for rap and Tejano so it serves me well.
