Found a 72 Barracuda

Ive been waiting for the cover to blow off of this one for a while now. I dont know whats up with it, but id say from the looks of those Viper or whatever wheels, its not good. its been sitting for a while now. And they dont have a garage to work in.

Those are new Charger/Magnum R/T wheels.  Interesting to see them on an E-body, they actually look pretty nice.  There was another thread on this site about whether they'd fit...

Maryland was the last state I tracked my Dad's 'Cuda to...

I'd have a hard time believing that's it though - dad's car was in pretty rough shape and he had added these fiberglass "humps" in front of the rear tires - his theory was that it moved air out around the tires creating less drag... ...on a car that barely moved anywhere anyways!

 They remind me too much of the old Iroc Z rims, which I believe only look good on Iroc Z's
It actually looks like Chrysler did a good job of biting that style

Hey Jeff, what part of Maryland, to whom? You'd be surprised at the connections to cars we have down here. It almost seems like if it made it anywhere near Baltimore, My family either owned it or knew the owner

I never got a name.    I spoke with a dealer in GA who bought the car from the guy my dad sold it to.  He then sold it to a man in MD, who's Lawyer called several months later trying to get a copy of the original bill-of-sale.  Probably because the guy was trying to sell the car again. 

Unfortunately the guy I spoke with in GA was a few taxos short of a combination platter...   ...It literally took me 45 minutes on the phone to convince him that he had owned my dad's 'Cuda (I had a cop-friend track the VIN for me) and get at least that much information from him...

I really wish I could find that car again...

It looks like the guy is working on it slowly, went a little wild with the primer though.  Why prime the taillights?  That's going to take more than a little bit of plastic polish to clean up.

It looks like there's no engine judging from the height of the front end.  Maybe working on the engine in the garage?    I would move that Go-Wing up a couple of inches... 

Yeah, those look like the newer Charger R/T rims.  They are on a 115mm bolt pattern vs the 114.3mm bolt pattern.  They'll go on there but there's discussion as to whether or not the put too much stress on the studs and possibly cause vibration at higher speeds.
