It will be a while my wife put the stop to me buying any parts lately. Doug said you were thinking about putting a hemi in the new vert. If you want to look at the k-member conversion from mega parts, give me a call.

Those d@mn wives never understand the importance of budgeting large portions of the household income for hemi parts!

A Hemi e body convertible has always been one of my dream cars.  I would definately like to find out more about what it takes and cost to do a hemi conversion.  I have an older vette to sale.  The vette will probably free up enough budget money to help get me started in the hemi direction.

As of right now, I'm just happy to have the convertible home and excited to think about all the different possibilities.

I have to say that I never have shopped for a 318 car, but this particular car really caught my eye.  It was all the original color combo and the ragtop that made me choose to buy this one over a viper.

I have a for sale ad up for the vette already.  I actually planned to advertise it this summer any way.  I have a guy that works with me who would really like to have the vette, but it is a bit out of his range at this point.  I just don't want to give the car away and hope somebody gets it to enjoy.  If I sale the vette,  I would either start shopping for a Hemi conversion or a Viper Rt10 with side pipes.  There doesn't seem to be a great difference in money between those two options.

Hey Vanished & Gurney #48, do you two know each other? Previous to the sale I mean. You two have a previous car connection I believe, but you may not be aware of it. It involved a pink T/A.

I can't say that I knew Ray prior to this go around.  He had some pictures up in his garage of some of the cars he has owned.  He didn't mention a panther pink T/A though...Is it the same pink T/a that is still here locally or one of the others that my father owned?

Would love to know the connection....

OK, if I remember right....

The pink T/A your dad owned was sold to Scott R. at some point.

Quite a while later, Ray found a broadcast sheet in one of his cars that matched Scott's car and gave it to him.

Small world somtimes, even in Indiana.

Small world indeed...I did see some Barry Washington paperwork that Ray had on the vert.  I must admit that it made me feel warm and fuzzy about buying this car.

...actually the PPink T/A was given to my daughter, she sold it to Scotts dad, Jody, a few years later....he still has the car...I hadn't heard the story either

...last summer Jody let me drive my old T/A to a car show about 20 miles away with Scott....first time I had attended a show with an old MOPAR in a long time....HAD A GREAT DAY !!!

Small world indeed. I met Ray about a year ago when I sold him a red dash pad and console for a 70 challenger. The dash was in my T/A when I purchased it and the console I had bought off e-bay. I assume it is the ones he put in the convertible. Ray was familiar with my T/A, having seen it in the process of it being painted back white  from the former custom paint job it got in the 70's and it came from the same generally area he lives in. Also when surfing the web along time before I met Ray, I noticed he was advertising for the current owner of his Mr.Norms T/A that he had the paperwork from Grand Spaulding Dodge to give him. In the ad it listed the VIN as JH23JOB309973 and mine is just 2 cars away from it when built.  Another connection is that Larry owns a white T/A with blue interior and mine is white with red interior and we live roughly 8 miles apart. Lastly I was there the day that Jody's T/A was painted back pink from being candy brandywine in Jerry Jones garage in Pittsboro Indiana in the late 80's or early 90's.
