glasurit filler / blocking
« on: February 17, 2008 - 01:47:37 PM »
My body guy on the 70 just switched over to glasurit spray filler for the final skim coat.  After blocking, he said its amazing how much less work it took to get the body straight.  Less hours...less cost!  yipee!  No picts yet, but in the next week or two I'll have the car back home.

All trunk, eng. bay, jambs all in sublime!  the outer body all staying in prime, for now.

the rest of the build it going to take at least a year in a high traffic shop, where I don't have controll over access.  Its has a real possiblitliy of getting nicked and dinged as the build continues.  I rather just have the exterior shot at the end.

Change of plans.  The bodyshop suggested just shooting everything in one shot, get'r done now rather than later.  I'm game.  So...all the painting is getting done, Sublime green with Diamont paint BC/CC.   The body guy said that its "pretty damn bright...you sure you want that color??"     yes I am....
