Those not going to Carlisle
« on: February 20, 2008 - 10:13:57 AM »
How about who cant make it?  My cousin has asked me to go on a road trip with him this fall.  He wants to drive out west.  I cant afford two road trips in the summer, and I have this unrealistic desire to go west.  I havent been west of the Twin Cities.   :bricks1: :walkaway:

So, it looks like I wont be going this year, as I had planned.  Really bums me out, but there's always next year.  Anybody else who was planning on going, now not going to be able to?  That way I wont have to feel so bad.   :1zhelp:

I'm going to have to go, every year, forever...  if I didn't show up, April would probably come drag me out by my ears.

Carlisle is a bit too far for a homebody like me living out west and all. I don't think your planned trip out here will disappoint you though. There is a lot too see if you like natural wonders and incredible open spaces. You may want to plan your trip in spring or fall if the southwest is one of your destinations though. Less tourist also.

Thanks for the enoucouragement.  It is planned for this fall, to the northwest.  I love open spaces.

The southwest will be another time.  But that time, I will not be making the trip back to Wisconsin, if you know what I mean.   ;)

I'm not going to make it this year.  We have different plans this year, maybe next year I can convince the wife to go back.

I'm supposed to go, but I have to attend a conference that week in San Antonio and won't be back in time to get up there.  I'll be trying for '09.

Steve I thought you and Mark were goin??  :clueless:

I had asked him if I could ride with if he was going, and he said sure.  Then my cousin told me about where he wants to go this fall.  Nothing against the Carlisle regulars, but I really want to go out there instead.   :poopoke:

Maybe the next year, and I could drive my truck, if I can get it done in a year and a half.
