New record in Fargo
« on: February 20, 2008 - 01:12:04 PM »
We broke the record that stood since 1889 last night. The record was -30 below and last night we hit -31 . At noon it's warmed up to -11 which is supposed to be our high for the day. Just 75 miles north of us Grand Forks hit -33. This winter can get over anytime soon!! I'm not thinking the T/A will hit the streets anytime soon. You guy and gals down south have it made.

We didn't last summer as we went to Carlisle. We did take it there in 06 for Canada day. We stay with some friends that live in Trans Cona(sp).

Hey T/A, i'm leaving on Monday for Richey, MT. Any idea how far that is from you? I could be stuck down there for a long time as i'm the only one with my company who is eligable to work in the states.   :crying:  Oh well, better then having no work.

Well, it was -5 here last night and I thought that was pretty cold, but after hearing from our friends up North I'm feeling a little better about things.

Now this might seem like a dumb question but actually, I really don't know what it's like.
I've never lived in that kind of cold before.

Can you tell a major difference between -5 and -31 degrees?  Cuz I'm thinking that whens it that cold, it's so cold I would think it all seems the same regardless of the difference.

Huge difference. Once you get past -30 it doesn't make much difference though.
