Update on the last update that got lost in the crash. Suspension arrived last week, received the S-60 Strange Dana housing today. I might be mocking up the rear this weekend so I can send the housing back to Dr Diff to get powder coated and final assembly done. The XV stuff looks very good. Most everything is aluminum, but the few things that are steel arrived painted and everything was individually wrapped. I also bought a steering column from them. They are modified Ididit columns. I had them make me an E body one without a key. The plan is to use a keyless ignition system using a RFID type keyfob like late model Nissans,Lexus, Cadillacs, etc.

Ordered my XV Level 2 kit on the 15th of January......nearly 4 months later, still waiting on shocks. Wish they'd stop advertising products in mags, online, etc that aren't "really" ready. I really needed my kit some months back, 1 month wait, no worries, it's do-able but 4 months is just not on. Luckily this isn't Overhaulin or on a tight deadline. Great products, great professional service just need to kick some tail and get them out within a week.  :2cents:

Beautiful looking parts. I can't wait till I can actually hear how these things perform and how the installs go.

The car I'm having built has their chassis stiffening kit installed in preparation for the Level II kit if I decide to go that far in the future.

Let us know how the install goes.

Carl--you went with the Level 2?? I thought you decided to stick with level 1 due to wanting to use 15 inch wheels?

Checked a couple of your past posts, I guess it isn't a typo and you did go for the level II. Congratulations. if you get any build pics from your build team please share with the group. You have been laying low a whole month now, I was starting to get worried!!

Both. Level 1 front and level 2 rear. It won't be as good as having the complete Level 2 kit but it will still handle 1g+. The only reason I didn't get level 2 up front is they have to run a minimum 17" rim and I'm a 15" rim kind of guy ie: black cop rims. You could get brakes to suit 15" rims but that's big custom money and more importantly, it defeats the purpose of running a level 2 kit. I want good traction out back and superior handling to that of a factory vehicle.

Actually I have lots of sheetmetal and paint work to do first  :(
There is so much welding, reinforcements, and customizing that they will actually have to be done together. I have a three day weekend coming up and plan to try and get the Dana fit and brackets tacked so I can ship it back to Dr Diff to finish out. In the meantime enjoy some more eye candy.....

Aluminum crossmember setup for late model hemi. This thing is really light, probably 20 pounds? XV says the control arm points were tested to 7 G's of force. You can also see the rack mounts.

Here are the front shocks assembled. They are nitrogen filled monotubes. Also very, very light. The springs themselves weigh more than the shock and mounts. Something like 350 pound rates on the front and 250 on the rear.
