I'm thinking that's a 2 speed switch.   :eek7:

now i think that black wire goes to the small light bulb where my road lamp switch is....the switch panel light...it plugs right in there...
ALSO....I believe I need a 2 speed switch that controls the washer fluid...maybe I have the wrong switch....I did notice that that last pin has a stop on it so a plug can NOT be pushed on to it..??

If you can read the letters on your switch this is how my 2 speed (6 post) wiper switch connects.

A - Red wire from grey connector
F2 - Green wire from grey connector
B/U - empty
P - Dark blue
B - Pink
H - Brown w/tracer

The solid brown wire in the black connector doesn't go anywhere
Your lone black wire, I'm not 100% sure yet.

That is a two-speed switch.  When you twist the shaft on the switch, you should get two clicks. The plug is for a variable speed switch (which has a prong near the center where that switch doesn't).  If you can find a variable speed switch and plug in the two connectors, you'll still have one prong empty on the back of the switch, but it should work fine.  I think the extra spade is for a ground, but the switch grounds on the mounting frame.

it looks like your grey plug needs to come off, then turn the large plug 90 degrees and it should line up with ALL of those pins.   :chatting:

does that make sense, just try it and take another picture.  :2thumbs:

If you don't find one, give me a shout. The one in my car is a 2-speed with the electric washer option, but I'm in search of a variable speed switch that SHOULD have been in there in the first place.

Part number will tell you what speed switch it is.
