Is this an original Mopar Shaker Hood Scoop?
« on: February 22, 2008 - 07:01:36 PM »
I have a Mopar Shaker Hood Scoop and the guy I got it from said its an original. Now I have searched and searched for information to help me determine if it is an original but I have found nothing. If anyone could me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Here are some clickable images of the Shaker Hood Scoop.

Doesn't look like an original, but what would I know?

I would think an original would have a Chrysler part number.

The part number is on the back near where the engine callout plate mounts.

Here is a pic of an original I posted for measurments. You will notice the difference in the grain of the fiberglass due to different manufacturing techniques. The one you have is also different around the edges.  It doesn't have mounting holes.

For putting a car on the road with a shaker or a non-100 point show car, I can't see anything wrong with the scoop.  The mounting holes can be drilled and it has tabs to mount the bezels etc. on.
